Administrative Staff

Ms. Dooris joined Millview of Latham in 2022 after a 10-year career with Fort Hudson Health Systems, where she served as Executive Assistant to the CEO and Assistant to the Director of Independent Living. Ms. Dooris also held positions in the Homecare and Certified Home Health Care divisions of Fort Hudson, as well as working as the assistant to the Director of Nursing. Ms. Dooris earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Suny Plattsburgh and earned her Master’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University in Healthcare Management while working full time in 2019.

Ms. Dooris is active in giving back to her community by volunteering her time to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Special Olympics and having served on a local non-for-profit Board of Directors.

Ms. Dooris likes to spend her free time hunting in the Southern Tier with her parents, going to the park with her English Bulldog Maverick or spending time with her friends and extended family.

Mrs. Meier joined Millview in the spring for 2023. She has over 10 years’ experience in hospitality and food service administration. Mrs. Meier started her career in Cosmetology and then made the leap to Student Nutrition when her children were in elementary school. After years of managing a local school kitchen, Mrs. Meier moved to Senior Nutrition and Administration at the same school. Mrs. Meier’s philosophy is creating fresh, wholesome meals for our residents and believes nothing brings people together like great food. She is hospitality focused and dedicated to excellence.

Mrs. Meier is a Guilderland native where she resides with her husband Jim, her four children and her Labrador retriever Gus. She is an active member of her community and involved in local cancer charities.

Ms. Mazzacco has worked for Millview since 2017, where she started off as a Resident Aide. She then worked her way up as a Med Tech, then Assistant Case Manager and finally her promotion to Case Manager in September 2022. Ms. Mazzacco had a successful 15-year career at Price Chopper as a manager before coming to Millview. She decided to make a career change after caring for her special needs daughter for 7 years, when she realized that caring for others was her true passion.

Ms. Mazzacco is always trying to better herself with training, on-line courses, seminars, etc., so that she can be the best for her residents and their families.

When Ms. Mazzacco isn’t working, she enjoys live music, dancing, motorcycle rides and spending time with her cat Skye.

Mr. Woodard became the Director of Maintenance at Millview in the summer of 2023. He was born and raised in the capital district where he attended college at JCA/Russell Sage, however, most of my maintenance knowledge came with many years of on-the-job training in various trades.

Mr. Woodard came to Millview after leaving a long career in Facility Management primarily working at General Electric in Schenectady NY. He was responsible of managing a staff of 110 employee’s, including housekeepers, grounds people, office support staff and more. Mr. Woodard found his true passion after leaving GE and going to work in the Health Care Field. Over the past 6 years, he has had the pleasure of working with local Nursing Facilities and Assistant Living Residence and has now found a new home at Millview.

When Mr. Woodard is not at work, he enjoys participating in sports, going to sporting events and doing meditation.

Tara Jackson grew up in Leavenworth County, Kansas, where her dedication to serving others became evident early on. While still in high school, Tara attended Highland Community College and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. She began her career working at a local nursing home and health rehabilitation center, providing compassionate care to patients and demonstrating her commitment to the well-being of others.

After graduating from high school, Tara joined the United States Air Force, where she continued her journey of service. She successfully completed the Security Forces Academy and was stationed in North Dakota, dedicating her career to the specialized and demanding field of nuclear security. During her time in the Air Force, Tara also earned her Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) degree, highlighting her commitment to professional and educational growth.

Tara joined Millview in Fall of 2023, starting out in the Activities Department. She was later promoted to the Director of Admissions and Employee Relations.

Outside of her professional life, Tara enjoys traveling, hiking, and visiting her hometown in Kansas to reconnect with friends and family. Her career and personal pursuits reflect her dedication to service, her adventurous spirit, and her strong ties to her roots.

Ms. Sparrow’s career in health care started in 2001 when she became a certified Home Health Aide and Personal Care Aide. Acquiring these certifications allowed her to work with the elderly in their homes, which she quickly realized she loved. One of Ms. Sparrow’s highlights of her early career was participating in the start-up of a Life Guidance Program for Adults with memory impairment. Ms. Sparrow worked with the elderly for nearly a decade until an opportunity in retail presented itself, and she felt as though she couldn’t pass it up. Given the chance to interact with all kinds of people daily and improve her customer service skills was perfect for Ms. Sparrow, as she is a people person.

Ms. Sparrow joined the Millview team as a Medication Tech/Resident Aide in June of 2020. She has held several positions and had numerous responsibilities since joining our team. Ms. Sparrow became the Director of Activities in the fall of 2023. She has worked tirelessly to make Millview’s Activity program one of the best in the area. Ms. Sparrow treats our residents as though they are her own family and constantly pushes herself to keep them on their toes and to find new activities for them.

When Ms. Sparrow is not at work, she’s spending time with her daughter, her significant other, and their Frenchie Bella.
